It is the coming of the cold weather and with that comes a need for nourishing our bodies.
My favourite way to keep warm and cosy is a spicy elixir with a big dollop of raw honey.
I have been experimenting with them for a number of years and always seem to fall back to my favourites which inevitably also contain some raw cacao. Raw cacao is full of that lovely magnesium to give you a sparkly glow in cold times.

I made one on Sunday and reheated with more water yesterday and then again today I heated the last little bit and have just enjoyed it's comfort.

Cinnamon sticks (not cassia)
Turmeric root (or I make a paste with the powder and water and simmer for 7 mins)
Black pepper corns which enhance the properties of turmeric
Raw coconut flakes
Reishi mushroom powder
He shou wu powder
Star anis (only need one)
Organic virgin coconut oil
Spring water in a large saucepan

On the lowest heat leave until it is heated through
Blend in a good blender with
Himalayan salt
Chunk cacao paste (or powder)
Chunk cacao butter
Raw honey

If you haven't got a strong blender heat the paste and butter in the pan with the mix

Pour into a big mug that you can caress with love and settle down to watch your favourite movie
